Who we are

Oscar Bartle, trading as quickquote.group is the data controller for personal data about our account holders, processed under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. For customer details you enter into your own quotes, you are the controller and we process them on your behalf.

What we collect and why

  • Account data (email, password hash) — to create and secure your account (contract).
  • Business details, settings, price book and logo — to provide the service (contract).
  • Quotes, including your customers' names, addresses and contact details — to provide the service on your behalf (contract).
  • Subscription status — to give you access to your plan (contract).
  • Technical data (IP address, device and log data) — for security and fraud prevention and to fix problems (legitimate interests).
  • Support messages — to help you (legitimate interests).

Who we share it with

Hosting and infrastructure providers who process data for us; Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for sales, subscription management, payments, tax and invoicing (Paddle collects payment details directly — we never see your card number); professional advisers; and authorities where required by law. We do not sell data.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and for up to 12 months after closure (longer where the law requires, e.g. tax records), then delete or anonymise it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted to your account by row-level security, and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures.

Cookies

We use only essential storage needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent. We respond within one month. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
